Award Winning Color and Traditional Artist
Iām Felix Gallardo, a tattoo artist at The Skull Museum in Northern California. While I'm proud to be in NorCal, I started my artistic journey in Long Beach, where I discovered my love for drawing as a child. My father, the first artist I admired, greatly influenced my creativity.
During school, I focused on developing my skills in black and grey realism. After high school, I shifted to the oil industry, working for 13 years as a Certified Welding Inspector. My art took a pause, but my creativity never disappeared.
During the pandemic, I rediscovered my artistic side, which inspired me to start a tattoo apprenticeship in July 2022 while still working full-time in my corporate job. I initially aimed to be a black and grey realism artist, but staying open to new experiences helped me appreciate other styles, including color work, American/Neo-Traditional, and Anime.
In April 2023, I decided to quit my corporate job and tattoo full time. Since then, I've focused on improving my skills as a tattoo artist to give my clients the best work possible.
In July 2024, I attended my first tattoo convention and won First and Third Place in Small Color, and Second Place in American Traditional. These awards showed me that taking a risk was worth it and highlighted my progress in a short time.
Today, I create personalized tattoos that are special for each client, whether they want realism, color, traditional styles, or a mix. I'm excited about this journey for me and my family, and I look forward to helping you bring your ideas to life.
